Jeep Key Fob Won Lock Doors

It is hit and miss at times and right now i m forced to manually lock unlock which would be alright if it wasn t a new vehicle.

There should be a release button or catch in the remote pressing which will pop out the spare key. The key that has been in the ignition will not lock doors or unlock. The only other thing is it usually says that the key is in ignition even when its been removed. Average repair cost is 420 at 37 500 miles.

Then the tps tire pressure sensor warning light came on said both rear tire were flat. The spare key will work fine. Wrangler a little over a year ago and my rear gate isn t locking unlocking with my remote key. But some vehicles may not have a visible keyhole.

I would think that if the door button locks the doors then it is not the tipm but the remote key module which is separate. You did not mention whether the door button to lock the doors worked or not. They were fine checked on line forums and found that the wcm wireless control module controls both door locks the tire pressure reading. I replaced the battery but that don t fix the issue.

Drivers side door will not unlock with key fob. Insert your key into the ignition and pull it back out six times within a maximum of just 10 seconds. I never lock my doors with the key fob but always lock it with the door button. We changed batteries in both fobs and disconnected the battery to reset. In my case i would probably never know there was an issue. The wireless key fob stopped working.
